Frosti Sauce - Charred Onion & Mushroom

When we asked Tom what flavours he was looking for in a Frosti Sauce he gave us the direction, "dark and savoury." Well, it could be darker but it's as savoury as the dickens. The charred onion gives a rich and smokey backing to the meaty umami of chestnut mushroom. Red Wine Vinegar cuts through with a balsamic-esque streak and treacle and (gluten-free) soy sauce add the kind of dark-yet-vibrant depths you'd expect from a Frosti release.
 
Pairs nicely with a jacket potato or anywhere where you might use brown sauce.
